Why our website kept the WIX branding.

When most small businesses start out most don't have the funds necessary to have a website professionally built. I want to show people it's possible and help walk them through what they need to focus on.

Where do I need to focus my budget on?

If you own a business it's in your best interest to buy the domain for it. Even if you can't build a site right now. These days there are so many places you can buy your domain on a budget.

Keep it simple.

People think a website needs to have all the greatest bells and whistles in order to keep visitors engaged. That simply isn't the case.

The four most important things to focus on are;

1. Tell people what your business is about and how it can help them.

2. How can they contact you? Here's another place you want to spend a little extra in buying a professional all looking email address. (Example Info@yourbusinessname.com) Anybody can make a @gmail.com but only a business would own it's @yourdomain.com account, or so people think. Credibility indicators help people feel comfortable doing business with you thru your site.

3. Make sure you're using Google Analytics on your site. (Click here to learn how to add analytics to your site) It's important. This tool allows you to see the health of your site and make decision base on data rather than leaving it up to luck.

4. Writes page titles and page descriptions that best describe your content and where you're doing business. Here it might get a little tricky so learn more about Google analytics and use it to show you what's working and what's not.

I'm asked by people all the time if it's possible to create a website with Wix or WordPress on a budget and still do well online in terms of ranking on Google result pages and bringing in new clients.
